About 420 Kingston: Your Trusted Seed Source

420 Kingston was established in 2010, and we are a seed bank and head shop.  Back then we were in a smaller shop a couple doors down, and we only had  Quincy, our Harlequin great dane.  We quickly became known as “the pot shop with the giant dog”.  Quincy likes to greet customers and lead them around the shop gently by their hands.  Quincy’s excellent customer service catapulted us to success, with people coming from all over Canada and the US to buy our seeds.  We were also given an wonderful review by Skunk Magazine as seed experts.  We really focused on quality–with both the seeds and the other merchandise we carry (like glassware and seeds).  Our reputation in Kingston grew strong–we became well-known for our excellent selection and great prices (and of course, Quincy).  We had a couple interviews with the local news, and even had some tv and radio ads locally!  We became the authorized dealers for most known European seed companies, and a couple Canadian ones.  We also became the exclusive authorized dealers for Illadelph and other glass brands.  

 

After a couple years we decided Kingston needed a place to medicate and congregate, so we opened up our lounge and cannabis research and testing facility, 420 Session.  We were lucky enough to score a really great location a couple doors down and we began our renovations.  We used a lot of reclaimed barn wood to ensure we weren’t making a big environmental impact with the renovation.  We added a bar, a bong rental area, lots of tables and couches, and decorated the whole place with framed cannabis leaves that customers have given us of strains they grew out.  We stocked it with lots of different vaporizers that our staff can demo, as well as different glassware that our members and testers can rent out.  We also provide THC, CBD, and terpene testing for any samples of cannabis.We even added a microshop (a term we coined–means “small shop”) that is stocked with 420 Kingston’s best sellers.    No matter what time it is, customers can always get essential items replaced (bongs, pipes, bowls, grinders, scales, bong cleaner, even gold papers!) We wanted to be a one stop shop, even if the shop is closed!

Things were going so great with 420 Session, and our glass collection started to get so big that we needed more space.  In 2013 we moved our shop to our current location, right below the lounge, at the corner of Princess and MacDonnell.  We put up new awnings and a backlight, and pot leaves on all the windows so you cant miss us!  Quincy was getting lonely by himself, so in 2014, we added to our pack!  Quincy’s little buddy Harry looks very similar to Quincy, but he has one blue eye and a bit of an attitude!  He stays up in the lounge with Jen in her office and says hello to people in the lounge when he’s feeling up to it!  Come by the shop AND lounge and meet everyone!
